About Us

Churches Together in Formby, Altcar & Hightown is a group through which 10 Churches in the Formby area explore ways in which we can meet and work together to spread the good news of Jesus to all in the local town and villages.

We are affiliated to Churches Together in Merseyside and through this to both  Churches Together in England and Churches Together in Britain & Ireland.

The ministers for the Churches meet together regularly and also each Church has up to 2 representatives who all meet together 6 times a year as the Council of Churches Together in Formby, Altcar & Hightown.  The Council discusses joint projects, local issues and the like and seeks initiatives to further develop the friendship and fellowship between the various Churches.

The Church congregations worship together at different times of the year and participate in prayer and bible study groups.
